Jon is joining Plummer Insurance with 26 years of experience in the insurance industry and primarily focuses on commercial and ag insurance. In 2014, Jon received his Certified Insurance Counselor designation (CIC). He grew up in Alliance Nebraska where he graduated from Alliance High School. After high school, he attended junior college in Salina Kansas to play basketball for two years before coming back to Western Nebraska in 1997 to finish his career at Chadron State College where he graduated with a degree in business administration.
He started his insurance career with New York Life Insurance as an agent before being hired by Gregory’s Insurance out of Alliance in 2003 and given the opportunity to start an agency in Chadron. Jon’s past community involvement has included coaching various youth sports, chamber activities, and involvement with the Chadron State Foundation.
In his free time, he spends his time playing golf, hunting and fishing, and enjoying time at the lake with family and friends. Jon and his wife Sheri have lived in Chadron for over 25 years and have two children (Macey and Brady).
