Texas native Samantha Barp grew up in Fort Worth, where she began her career in trucking dispatch in 2009. She met her husband, Nick, there in 2013 and began to rise through the ranks, eventually facilitating transport of train engines, locomotive pieces, and refrigerated freight for some of the US’s largest railroads.
Sam and Nick have spent time for work in Texas, Omaha, and Colorado before eventually returning to Nick’s hometown of Kimball to raise their two children Henry and Gracie closer to his family. The kids are involved in plenty of activities that keep Sam and her family busy; in her downtime she is a bicyclist, a baker, and a big Stephen King fan.
